🔊 The Lion and the Mouse

A tiny mouse once woke a big lion. The lion laughed and let him go. Later, the mouse chewed a hunter's net and saved the lion!

A fast hare laughed at a slow tortoise and challenged him to a race. The hare ran ahead and took a nap. The tortoise walked slowly but never stopped — and won!

A woodcutter dropped his axe in the river. A fairy showed him a golden axe — "Is this yours?" "No," he said. A silver axe — "No," he said again. Pleased with his honesty, the fairy gave him all three!
